Brock received the honorable mention for law enforcement partner of the year by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, a division of the United States Department of Justice. Sheriff’s department releases names of those arrested in drug roundup

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department released Tuesday the names of those arrested Aug. 17 in a drug roundup. Most people were arrested for the sale of prescription drugs from south Florida pain clinics, according to a press release from the department. A nine-month undercover investigation resulted in the arrest of 52 Madison County residents, the release said.

A pair of Richmond residents have formed a unique partnership. Former co-workers John Hayes and Robbie Robbins spend their free time raising and racing pigeons. Hayes retired three years ago from his job as custodial foreman at Eastern Kentucky University. Robbins works at EKU as an operator at the heat plant.
